Bug#705959: Intel i210/i217 driver backport

2014-04-14 Thread Jort Koopmans
Hi,

The Intel i210 is becoming very common nowadays, with the 7.5 point
release coming up (26th of April), is this going to be included?

Kind regards,
Jort

Bug#705959: Intel i210/i217 driver backport

2014-02-05 Thread Arnaud Launay
Agreed.

All of the recent servers and motherboards we got are useless
under Debian stable. This is very frustrating.

For example, on our Gigabyte H87N, there are *two* different
network chipsets, and *none* are supported !

00:19.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection
I217-V [8086:153b] (rev 04)
03:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet
[1969:1091] (rev 10)

Bug#705959: Intel i210/i217 driver backport

2014-01-23 Thread Dominik Dausch
Hi,

is it planned to fix this bug with a driver backport in the next point release?

Currently Debian 7 is not installable on almost all new Supermicro Intel
Haswell server mainboards, because they all have i210 / i217 NICs.

Would be great if Debian could be installed on this new popular plattform
without using Backport kernels.
