Bug#710591: libreoffice: Missing .desktop files for all LibreOffice programs.

No problem :)

It doesn't appear to by default (it was disabled in Alacarte), but
enabling it to show does make it show up.

Interesting.

Except that by default the LibreOffice launcher is hidden, unless
*that* is a bug, or an old config setting on my system.

That seems to be a upstream change:

But yeah, will look why the other symlinks went away...

Looks like a upstream bug make install bug (I could workaround it
but I'll probably just wait for beta2 where it looks fixed).

(ANd I'll look whether I remove that NoDisplay=true..)

Bug#710591: libreoffice: Missing .desktop files for all LibreOffice programs.

2013-06-01 Thread Alex Vanderpol
Package: libreoffice
Version: 1:4.1.0~beta1-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

As stated in the bug subject, the .desktop files for all of the LibreOffice
applications are missing.

As such, LibreOffice applications do not appear in the GNOME Shell overview,
and I imagine this means they also won't show up in any menus that populate
using the .desktop files in /usr/share/applications.

This makes it somewhat difficult to easily find and launch LibreOffice or any
of its applications.

I hope this can be corrected without difficulty.

Heh, thanks. I should probably have looked into things a little further
myself before assuming this was a bug, but it wasn't functioning how it
used to and there seemed to be no explanation as to why that happened,
so naturally I assumed it was a bug.
