Package: xine-ui
Version: 0.99.7-1
Severity: normal
Looks like bug 506001 (dup with 374644) is back!
(I would file this under grave just like it was back then, but I'm
actually starting to question my sanity and might wait until
confirmation before I do so - how can this bug be back when the
problem was so seemingly definitely dealt with back more than 4 years
ago?)
Fake pressing ctrl (or any other key) randomly every 20 seconds while
focus is directed potentially anywhere IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Please
remove all traces of the fake-keypressing code from the source and
burn it in a Gamma Ray Burst so it never makes an accidental
appearance again. (also explains why when a video is paused, nothing I
do can make the screensaver kick in when I desire it to. Stop
screwing around with the screensaver without the user's permission!)
I don't remember this being a problem when I was running a mixed
squeeze/sid environment, so maybe it's only popped up recently upon
upgrade of all packages to wheezy?
