Bug#728093: quodlibet: change dependency gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio to gstreamer1.0-audiosink
2013/10/28 Arian Sanusi ar...@sanusi.de: gstreamer1.0-audiosink isn't an option since it's provided by plugins-good/bad, so afair alsa/pulseaudio sinks don't get installed on a default install. plugins-good/bad contain meaningful audio sinks: Jack,OSS (good), OpenAL (bad) so I see why they provide the audiosink package. If you think they are not relevant enough, I suggest: I think it's relevant that users which install a default debian and install QL or upgrade to jessie get a working QL. - make gst-pulseaudio a 'recommended'-dependance - that way most people will install the package. This was the case before I think. The problem I had in the PPA which Ondřej based the update on, was that recommends don't get installed on update, so everyone lost the alsa/pulse sinks. - change the dependance to gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio | gstreamer1.0-alsa (I think that's what most users will use) Seems like a good idea. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#728093: quodlibet: change dependency gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio to gstreamer1.0-audiosink
Package: quodlibet Version: 3.0.2-3 Severity: normal I do not want pulseaudio on my systems, instead I use alsa directly.
