Package: gnome-session-flashback Version: 3.8.0-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I have a Qwerty keyboard. For programming I use the regular layout but when I need to type something in French I use the US International with deadkeys layout. However since the upgrade from 3.6 to 3.8 switching keyboard layouts is broken. Note that I also reproduced this issue in a brand new user account. So my two keyboard layouts are (translated from French): English (USA) English (international, AltGr, deadkeys) However when I switch keyboard layouts I find that I successively have: * A Qwerty layout with no deadkeys (in particular ' is not a dead key which makes it impossible to type an e-acute). * Another Qwerty layout with no deadkeys. * An Azerty layout! Note that that last one is not in the keyboard layout list shown by gnome-control-center. Maybe it comes from being the default layout for a French locale. Switching keyboard layouts works correctly, dead keys and all, in a GNOME Classic session. As is this makes the GNOME Flashback session unusable to me. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.11-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gnome-session-flashback depends on: ii gnome-panel 3.8.0-1 ii gnome-screensaver 3.6.1-1 ii gnome-session-bin 3.8.4-3 ii gnome-session-common 3.8.4-3 ii gnome-settings-daemon 3.8.5-2 ii metacity 1:2.34.13-1 ii nautilus 3.8.2-2 ii notification-daemon 0.7.6-1 ii plasma-widgets-workspace [notification-daemon] 4:4.10.5-3 ii policykit-1-gnome 0.105-2 Versions of packages gnome-session-flashback recommends: ii gnome-power-manager 3.8.2-1 Versions of packages gnome-session-flashback suggests: ii desktop-base 7.0.3 ii gnome-keyring 3.8.2-2 ii gnome-user-guide 3.8.2-1 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
