I consider this a wishlist request. Well the previous package did work though. Simply copy/pasting the old patch does work. Could this be added back in the package ? Bug#733556: wine: binfmt-support got lost
Package: wine Version: 1.6.2-2 Followup-For: Bug #733556 Can confirm this - somewhere after 1.6.1-5, this issue happened, because the wine-auto symlink (expected by binfmt) is no longer provided. Bug#733556: wine: binfmt-support got lost
Package: wine Version: 1.6.1-7 Severity: normal Hi, the binfmt support for wine has been dropped (at least /usr/share/binfmts/wine and winelauncher). According to the changelog it seems not to be intended. I surfed a little bit in the git repository but I was unable identify any commit that introduces this change. For me it looks as if these files got lost during the change from wine-bin to wine32-bin. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 mingw64-i686 mingw64-i386 Kernel: Linux 3.11-2-amd64 (SMP w/6 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages wine depends on: ii file1:5.14-2 ii wine32 1.6.1-7 ii wine64 1.6.1-7 ii wine64-bin 1.6.1-7 wine recommends no packages.
