And, this package is up for adoption. CC'ed Amin Tarbalouti who showed interest.

Can you all work together and have a new shiny package? :)

I don't know what happened but this is still not in Debian, was the new
version rejected by FTP masters for some reason?

After this message welcoming changes and the package being in LowNMU
list, I took the liberty to check-out the repo and make some minimal
changes (modify the changelog with Closes of bug reports submitted at
the time of afterwards, and apply Helmut Grohne's patch).

Cheers.

Thanks a lot. Mostly I forgot after changes were made. Let me check.
If I don't respond back in a day - feel free to NMU as usual!

According to the BTS, Tobias did upload to DELAYED/5, so something
must have happened.

Also I just contacted Helmut because when testing, his patch doesn't
seem to apply anymore (maybe it's because of the additional
dh_autoreconf step that was added for 2.0.2).

Cheers.

Working along with Helmut, he determined that the problem was to use -cc
instead of -gcc.

So I pushed one more change:

Use "CC = $(DEB_HOST_GNU_TYPE)-gcc" instead of "-cc"

Things build fine and lintian only complains about the latest policy
standard version, non-nmu revision (since you signed it, it's not a NMU
anymore), and some formatting stuff in d/copyright.

Since you are active now and this needs some package-specific knowledge
(that I don't have) to deal with rdeps and so on, should I understand
that you'll take care of this, or do you prefer me to handle the upload
and transition?

Cheers.

I should be able to upload and fix remaining issues.

And, thanks a lot for your work! Would all you like to be
co-maintainer of the package? If yes, I will add your names and then
you'll not have to NMU :)

2014-08-03 Thread Tobias Frost

Dear Kartik,

I've prepared a package for the new libmng upstream version 2.0.2.

Please see attached diff (ONLY the debian directory given.)
NOTE: The diff is against 1.0.10-3, not against the NMU
I just uploaded to DELAYED/5

As the soname changes, the target is experimental to prepare for an
transition.

Thanks for considering an upload of the new version.
