Hi,

After some more package upgrades (including kde packages), I decided to try
upgrading upower again.
As of today it works, not sure what package enabled sleep.

This bug can be closed.

My system got upgraded to systemd so I tried to upgrade upower again.
Same deal, still doesnt work and

pkaction | grep upower

still shows nothing.

The bug seems to be related to the init system. It seems to affect only the 
systems that have sysvinit as init system. See discussion here:

Hello,

Same bug affects KDE as well.
Reverting the upower to 0.9.23-2+b2 fixes the problem
Running version 4.13.1 of KDE.

Same here with XFCE.

The big hint is that the following shows nothing:

  pkaction | grep upower

Reverting makes upower items appear again.
