Bug#758688: [Pkg-libvirt-maintainers] Bug#758688: libvirt-daemon-system (1.2.7-9) dist-upgrade failed

2014-08-26 Thread Andrew Woodward
I can confirm that on a clean install of jessie -> SID that this was a
problem for me as well. I'm not sure at this point if libvirt was
installed prior, but I don't think it was.

As a work-around starting virtlockd.service allowed me to install 1.2.7-9.

The problem also re-occurred when updating to 1.2.7.-10

Also, as an aside. I'm not certain if 1.2.7-9 had a bug creating
interfaces, or virtlockd.service is required to create them correctly
as I was un-able to get network access into the guest on 1.2.7-9 and
virtlockd.service not running. ( And I don't have enough time to
figure which it was )

but i downgrade from partial installed 1.2.7-9 to 1.2.7-8,
then retry to upgrade from 1.2.7-8 to 1.2.7-9, there is no problem.

Could you try to dig out where the postinst is failing? I checked the
case with virtlockd masked/unmasked and enabled/disabled and it didn't
fail here.
