You closed 769646 with version 21-4, but 769646 is assigned to
android-libutils, which doesn't seem to have a version 21-4. Either the fix is
in another package, or you mistyped the version. I reopened the bug for now.
Please adjust as necessary.

Please don't do that. That's not how these tags are supposed to work. If the
bug is fixed in a newer version, version tracking will take care of it. If the
fix is in another package, I might have misunderstood. In that case, please
clarify how this bug is fixed.

I think this has already been fixed in 21-4: libcutils and liblog didn't
have shlibs metadata at all, but now they do. The diff looks small enough
for an unblock request to be reasonable.

Unfortunately, 21-4 has its own new RC bug, #770328, because the maintainer
didn't add the correct Breaks/Replaces when moving files between binary
packages; so it can't just be unblocked as-is. I attach a possible patch
 for that.

 I think #769236, #769251 could just be merged with #769646. They aren't
really separate bugs, and would be fixed automatically by letting the
 fix for #769646 migrate.

Once the metadata for this bug is fixed (see above), you can file an unblock
request to clarify what needs to be done.

Cheers,

Ivo

Sorry, I had intended to reassign to android-libcutils-dev, but then
mixed up android-libutils with android-libcutils and thought no
reassignment was needed. Everything should be correct now, I think.

android-liblog{,-dev} are also implicated, but they're from the same
source as android-libcutils{,-dev} (I've double-checked this time :-)
and were fixed in the same upload.

Will do. There doesn't seem much point asking for an unblock until
#770328 is also fixed, since that's a regression in unstable which will
require a subsequent upload. I've sent a proposed patch to that bug already.

Regards,
S
