Bug#769874: Recurring events repeat without end (again)

did you upgrade to 3.12.7.1-2 already? Did you have this problem?

I’m tempted to mark this RC, but I’d like to have a confirmation of this
first.

Greetings,
Joachim

Yes, I can confirm this behaviour. With these versions...

thanks. I urge the maintainers to mark this as serious to make sure it
is not forgotten.

(I’m not doing it myself, as “serious” is meant to be set by the
maintainer, while “grave” is too strong for this bug.)

Joachim

Confirmed. However, downgrading the binary packages
evolution-data-server, libcamel-1.2-49, evolution-data-server-common,
and libedata-cal-1.2-23 to version 3.12.7.1-1 didn't help. It was
downgrading libecal-1.2-16 to version 3.12.7.1-1 that finally did the
trick.

Hi,

after yesterdays upgrade (see attached log), which includes the update
of e-d-s from 3.12.7.1-1 to 3.12.7.1-2, bug #766454 is back:

Evolution displays recurring evens without end, ignoring the COUNT
flag to the RRULE entry in an ical.

I am reporting this as a new bug becuase:
 * libical is still at its old version (1.0-1), and
 * e-d-s is the most likely upgrade that might have caused this.

I’m tempted to make this bug release critical, as it is a serious
show-stopper for productive use of evolution as a calendar, but I leave
this call to the maintianer.

CC’ing Alexander Kurtz, who could reproduce #766454. Alexander, do you
also observe this behaviour?

Thanks,
Joachim
