Are you still looking for a sponsor for minetest, or is this blocked
on something? The package in git looks fine to me, so I'd like to
upload it to experimental. Unless Martin has any objections, perhaps?

Yes, indeed. I'm quite happy with the current result. I guess Martin is
busy at the moment but experimental should be fine anyway.

Uploaded and tagged in git, thanks!

Vincent

Oups sorry, I got misguided by the bug title. You already did the
packaging and we need to upload it, right? I feel bad about uploading
a new upstream release during the freeze, but there is nothing
 forbiding it formally, I guess.

 Hi,

Indeed I'm looking for a sponsor. Everything is ready in Git. I just
wanted to track the issue with this bug report. Experimental
would be fine as well of course.

Indeed, I'm just too busy to look at the patches properly. If you guys
can get it to experimental, that'd be great.

On the same line, someone with some free time should look at the
patches that we have in the debian package, clean them up on need and
propose them to upstream. Discussing patches with upstream is always a
bit long, but so far all patches that we proposed were integrated
(sometimes after months, but anyway).

Thanks for your help, guys, that's really helping.

Also, I couldn't find the release date on
http://dev.minetest.net/Changelog. Do you know it? Better, could you
fix it (or get it fixed) on that page?

 Hi Martin,

I have packaged the latest upstream release of Minetest. It would be
glad if you could take a look at it. Some things I have noticed:

 - There are quite a lot of Debian patches already and I would suggest
to forward some of them to upstream. I had to rebase the hurd.patch
and this one seems to be one of the candidates.

 - debian/copyright was lacking some license paragraphs and I could
merge others into a single one.

 - I couldn't find a quick and easy way to extract the upstream
changelog out of the wiki, so I would like to suggest that we just
add a link to changelog-upstream and be done with it.
   http://dev.minetest.net/Changelog.

The rest should be documented in debian/changelog.

 Cheers,

 Markus
