Bug#775122: systemd: Please make boot messages translatable
Package: systemd Version: 215-8 Severity: normal Hello, Debian has gotten rid of the verbose kernel logs, avoiding to scare the user with them. But systemd is still emitting startup messages in english, which gets particularly bad when using a non-english speech synthesis. These messages should be translated. These messages should be translated. systemd by default is silent and does not emit any boot messages, unless you hit a timeout or a service fails to start, in which case it switches to verbose mode. Can you check, if your system is in degraded mode (systemctl status) and if a service failed to start. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth? signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Since this is not a Debian integration issue and a feature request, I'm marking it upstream and wishlist. Would be great if you can raise this topic on the upstream mailing list / bug tracker yourself. Mmm, indeed. I'll have a look. I have submitted the translation request upstream. Samuel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
