Package: fish Version: 2.1.1.dfsg-2 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
Some applications including the zathura document viewer do not detach from the shell when they are invoked with an & character at the end of the line. Example: me@computer: zathura foo.pdf & => shell prompt does not return until i quit the application. Other applications work as expected and zathura and other problematic applications work as expected in other shells, at least bash and zsh. Therefore I think that this behaviour is the result of a bug in the job handling of fish shell. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages fish depends on: ii bc 1.06.95-9 ii chromium [www-browser] 40.0.2214.91-1 ii dwb [www-browser] 20140702hg-2 ii elinks [www-browser] 0.12~pre6-5+b2 ii google-chrome-stable [www-browser] 40.0.2214.94-1 ii iceweasel [www-browser] 31.4.0esr-1 ii libc6 2.19-14 ii libgcc1 1:4.9.2-10 ii libjs-jquery 1.7.2+dfsg-3.2 ii libncurses5 5.9+20140913-1+b1 ii libstdc++6 4.9.2-10 ii libtinfo5 5.9+20140913-1+b1 ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.3-19 Versions of packages fish recommends: ii xsel 1.2.0-2 Versions of packages fish suggests: pn doc-base <none> pn menu <none> -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
