Dear Maintainer,
please consider updating SPLAT to version 1.4.2 as it resolve some nasty bugs.
I spent a couple of hours only to finally find that the image size written to
the header of Xastir-compatible
.ppm maps was a known bug and corrected in version 1.4.1.
