Now that we have kernel 4.0 with overlayfs, support should be fixed. Since overlayfs was merged it was renamed overlay, and now requires an additional workdir option. The work dir must be an empty directory located on the same file system as the upper dir. It is used for atomic file stuff. I have reported this at https://github.com/codelibre-net/schroot/issues/1 as well. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (100, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.0.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages schroot depends on: ii libboost-filesystem1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-iostreams1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-program-options1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-regex1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-system1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libc6 2.19-18 ii libgcc1 1:5.1.1-4 ii libpam0g 1.1.8-3.1 ii libstdc++6 5.1.1-4 ii libuuid1 2.25.2-6 ii schroot-common 1.6.10-1 schroot recommends no packages.
