Bug#787959: [backintime-common] backintime failed to start: No such file or directory

2015-08-20 Thread Germar Reitze
I neither understand why backintime was removed because of this.

But this bug is caused by missing /bin/mountpoint which is part of
package initscripts. Just installing 'apt-get install initscripts' will
fix this.

I didn't thought about initscript would become non standard some day
when I wrote that. So I missed adding a dependency. But anyways, next
BiT version (1.1.8) will come without that dependency (I rewrote that
function couple days ago)

Germar, BiT Dev-Team

Bug#787959: [backintime-common] backintime failed to start: No such file or directory

2015-08-19 Thread Marcos Raúl Carot
Any news on this?

The package was removed from testing and still not back.

By the way, I never noticed this error, it always worked for me till the
day it was removed from testing.

Cheers,

Marcos

Bug#787959: [backintime-common] backintime failed to start: No such file or directory

2015-06-06 Thread Adrien Grellier
Package: backintime-common
Version: 1.0.36-1
Severity: grave

Hi,

I cannot use backintime-kde anymore. When I launch it, I got this error :

adrien ~/.config/backintime/ $ backintime-kde4
WARNING: import keyring failed

I tried to install python-keyring (not in recommends or suggests), which
correct the first warning message : WARNING: import keyring failed

As the error mention, I also tried to change File
/usr/share/backintime/common/tools.py, line 462 from :
subprocess.check_call(['mountpoint', path], stdout=open(os.devnull, 'w')
to:
subprocess.check_call(['mountpoint', path], stdout=open(os.devnull, 'w'),
shell=True)

And now backintime start! But I am not an expert in python, and it may have
side effects.

Kind Regards,

Adrien
