This made me believe that ./configure and > > aclocal.m4 can *not* be built from source. > so this does not work even _with_ ui-auto installed? currently, ui-gxmlcpp doesn't build at all: https://qa.debian.org/dose/debcheck/src_unstable_main/1438491604/packages/ui-gxmlcpp.html#6f35b7a5db3b524f612e0ace6da69b31 so instead I used a snaphsot from July 1 2015 and then built in a clean chroot with `dh --with autoreconf` and additional build dependencies on dh-autoreconf and ui-auto. To my surprise, the package was then buildable. This was strange because I could swear I tried the exact same thing before reporting the bug and only re-did it now to get the error log (which I should've done initially). So with autoreconf and when build depending on ui-auto, the package indeed successfully builds (at least with the archive of July 1 2015) and thus I'm adjusting the severity. Source: ui-gxmlcpp Version: 1.4.3-1 Severity: serious Justification: Policy 2.2.1 Hi, the source package for ui-gxmlcpp includes a ./configure and ../aclocal.m4 without including their source. If ./configure and ../aclocal.m4 are removed, then the package cannot be built anymore. For example, the current aclocal.m4 contains parts of ui-auto but ui-gxmlcpp does not build depend on that package. Please add the missing bits so that this source package can be built from source again and does not require autogenerated scripts like ../configure and ./aclocal.m4.
