To be exact, but i just discovered it now: {A^] can show it's history and any program there can be started! But the history there is really poor :-( Any started program behalves as known: No headline of any window, programs with "file" top left can be stopped, but for instance Xosview only at VT with killall -9. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". After downloading 53 new packages and an enormous amount of others, gnome was installed and worked. But if I would like gnome ... I don's like gnome and never did ever before. Well, I put it away and tried to install KDE. And now? I have a pure beginning, a nice pointer as I ever had but absolutly nothing to point on. In gnome the programs could be pushed around, but in KDE I don's have anything to push. [A^F2] opens the well known small window but nothing can be writen there. Not so fascinating, really. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org

Next problem, not really solved: Bringing up thingies like ksnapshot is awfull. Killing isn't possible. Except switching to a VT and write: "killall -9 ksnapshot" In the meantim I can call a browser so that ksnapshot isn't seen any longer. To have access to ksnapshot I have to close the browser via "file" and "close" Not with [A^Tab]. Switching to another user results in the sentence: Call to Inusertemp failes (temporary directories full?) Check your installation. Stupid. With ,startx' as root? Same result. All changes to "desktop" can be made, with "apply" changes are made but closing the window of "desktop" all changes are gone. Hope the one who could help will come soon. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org

So, changing to another user is not possible. Pushing anway ~/,kde daoes not make any change in the well known missbehavior. Working hard longer tha half a day just for KDE and nothing else(!) I could manage to get a nearly not corruptes Dektop. Result: * Only one desktop can be gotten. switching to have more than 4 (predefined) can be made to be noticed. But disappear immediatly. Also when switching to the recommended 4 desktops never is registrated. So I only have one like in Windows from M$. * Opened programms have their specific size which never can be changed. The Window of a programm can't be moved around a desktop neither can be sent to another desktop, maybe there is none. Sure, there is only one. * Killing a programm is not regularly possible, onle really brutal. * The bar for kontrolling the div. miniprogs sometimes disappear as wanted most time it does'nt. On the one side there is only one desktop, on the other none can be seen in the bar fot control. * The most annoying thing is the absence of the headbar on every window of a programm. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
