Hi,

I think the bug is not solved, as  I got this message with the latest version 
of zotero in Debian :

adrien ~/ $ zotero 
xulrunner not found, trying firefox instead.
Error: Platform version '43.0.4' is not compatible with
minVersion >= 31.0
maxVersion <= 40.*
adrien ~/ $ 

I also should notice that xul-ext-zotero is working well.

I confirm the same problem here. As far as I can tell, this happened
after the Jessie upgrade (from Wheezy), since I don't use Zotero very
often. *But* it's possible that zotero worked on Jessie for a
while...

A simple workaround is to install the version from sid and everything
works again.

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading iceweasel in stable zotero-standalone stopped working,
giving instead the error message:

   Error: Platform version '38.2.0' is not compatible with
   minVersion >= 24.0
   maxVersion <= 32.*

Note the similitude with #792558.
Hope this can be resolved.
