Bug#796150: golang: new upstream version is available (1.5)

2015-08-21 Thread Edmund Grimley Evans
Ubuntu's stuff for 1.5~rc1 seems to work for 1.5 on Debian unstable if
you just remove the two patches (which are for armhf and ppc64el with
the latter already included in 1.5):

tar xzf .../go1.5.src.tar.gz
cd go/
tar xJf .../golang_1.5~rc1-0ubuntu1.debian.tar.xz
rm debian/patches/series
dpkg-buildpackage -b -d

Bug#796150: golang: new upstream version is available (1.5)

2015-08-19 Thread Tim Sattarov
Subject: golang: new upstream version is available (1.5)
Package: golang
Version: 2:1.4.2-3+aptbuild1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

There is new major version of golang available: https://golang.org/doc/go1.5
it would be nice if you could package it.
(I'm currently backporting it to stable myself via apt-build, but I
can't create source package as good as you can do it ;) )

Thanks
Tim
