Bug#799776: python-pymysql: Update package to 0.6.6 or newer to satisfy the mycli dependency
Package: python-pymysql Version: 0.6.2-2 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, I am currently working on getting mycli into debian. The current dependency is on version 0.6.6 or newer. I have tried some work arounds to get it to work with 0.6.2 but there seem to be some issues with connection closure which cause mycli to break. More on that in the bugtracker on Github[0]. I'm currently not very invested in the upgrade to the package. I fixed mycli up to work with 0.6.2. But I obviously don't mind updating it. Just need to test it with the 0.7.2 release. But updating the pymysql is not in my hands anyway. what's the status of this? 0.7.2 was released recently, and we would start to use it pretty soon (in Jessie, so a backport will be needed, i can handle it if you prefer). is there a plan to update pymysql soon?
