Bug#803112: Workaround for bug

2015-10-27 Thread debianbug...@gmail.com
I found out a proper workaround which is to uncomment the line that says
"WaylandEnable=false" in /etc/gdm3/daemon.conf and then reboot. It is
necessary to reboot, not just restart gdm3 for some reason. If I just
restart gdm3 without rebooting I am presented with a flickering screen
instead of a black screen. However on rebooting everything works as it
should, I can login by entering my password, stop, start, restart gdm3,
et|c.

Bug#803112: Workaround for bug

Slight correction, with this workaround I do sometimes still get the
flickering screen if I do "systemctl gdm3 restart", even after rebooting
with the new settings. But the initial booting into gdm3 works fine.
