Well, but the fact is: you haven't yet finished interacting with
apt-listbugs! you still have to answer the above-quoted question (in
order to decide what to do with the packages under consideration)!

Depending on your answer, the outcome may be that you exit from
apt-listbugs or that you pin other packages, or what not.

This sounds really strange to me.
After all, hitting [q] to quit a program is not so general a rule as
you seem to imply. I've seen many cases where [Ctrl+q] has to be used.
And a good number of more unusual keys in other cases...

It's not that the question is unclear. It's just that my
muscle memory tells me to enter q to exit a program after
having interacted with it.

That's a reflex, I cannot control it.

Bug#807665: apt-listbugs: please allow q as alias for n

2015-12-11 Thread Julian Andres Klode
Package: apt-listbugs
Version: 0.1.17
Severity: wishlist

What happens after pinning is that I try q a few
times and then press Ctrl+D because q does not do
anything. It somehow does not occur to me that I
would need to press n. Probably used vi too often
in the past months.

So, it would be nice if you could allow q as an
alias for n.
