Package: ntp Severity: wishlist Tags: patch Hi,
debian/README.Debian says about PPSKit but it seems that upstream Linux kernel has already PPS feature by default, without such patchset (It was 10 years ago since last update). My /boot/config-4.3.0-1-amd64 says >># PPS support >># >>CONFIG_PPS=m >># CONFIG_PPS_DEBUG is not set >># CONFIG_NTP_PPS is not set So it is obsolete, IMO. Patch is below. diff -urN ntp-4.2.8p4+dfsg.orig/debian/README.Debian ntp-4.2.8p4+dfsg/debian/README.Debian --- ntp-4.2.8p4+dfsg.orig/debian/README.Debian 2009-11-14 01:35:55.000000000 +0900 +++ ntp-4.2.8p4+dfsg/debian/README.Debian 2016-01-16 21:00:22.258141317 +0900 @@ -109,12 +109,3 @@ ntp-genkeys now generates an MD5 ntp.keys file in /var/lib/ntp.
