I think they would suggest that you work with Sven Schnelle to get the
driver included in the mainline Linux kernel drivers.

I plan to maintain it by myself, but it might be relevant for me to join
an existing team, like pkg-kernel since it's a kernel driver

I'm looking for a sponsor with Kernel & DKMS knowledge to ensure the package
will respect packaging requirements.
