Again in a Sid chroot amd64, this time also adding i386 architecture with dpkg. Tried installing nvidia-driver, and then nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver, works fine. Tried installing nvidia-driver, purging it away with the same command you used, and then installing nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver, works fine. Tried installing nvidia-driver, libgl1-nvidia-glx:i386 and then purging and then installing nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver and libgl1-nvidia-legacy-340xx-glx:i386, works fine as well. Sorry, but without more information I don't know what else to try to reproduce your problem. So for now I'll mark as unreproducible and reduce the severity to avoid autoremoval. Hi Peter, Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this in a clean sid amd64 chroot with neither: apt-get install nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver nor apt-get install nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver libgl1-nvidia-legacy-340xx-glx:i386 After the apt-get remove, are you sure there was no leftover? Have you checked with dpkg -l? What version of the driver did you have installed before? Also, when posting the output of commands, could you please prefix them with: LC_ALL=C this way the output is in English and it's easier for non-German speaker to understand :-) Kind regards, Luca Boccassi signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
