ntpsec 1.0.0 has been released. I intend to have a package ready for
upload in a few days.

I'm continuing to work on this, in close cooperation with upstream.

Unfortunately, this is not going to make the stretch release, as
upstream has not released a stable 1.0.0 release. Things are still in
heavy development, and neither they nor I want to support a pre-1.0.0
release.

I'm hoping that the next pre-release will be something that I can upload
to experimental.

Wouldn't be better to fill an RFP, then take it as ITP when you are
available, if no one works on this in the mean time?
