Please find two screenshots attached. Maybe related to the main issue of this bugreport, maybe not. As mentioned before, with TraditionalOK, there's now an thin grey outline around mate-terminal when it's maximized, which 1/ wasn't present with previous versions of TraditionalOK, and 2/ isn't present with other themes in mate-themes 1.14 (as seen in the Menta screenshot). Please find two screenshots attached. Notice the grey outline around the blue highlighted area in the TraditionalOK screenshot (I suggest using an image viewer with a black background, for example qiv in fullscreen mode). This outline is not part of the clickable zone, which makes the main menu quite hard to click on, because when you try to click on the main menu, most clicks end on the top of the screen. Menta theme doesn't have this problem; clicking on top the screen triggers the menu as expected. Notice that said outline is missing in the Menta screenshot. If the issue persists with marco 1.14 built > against GTK3, please let us know. I know, I already did. I had to retrieve marco 1.14 and compile it because when the MATE update reached unstable, marco was still in the NEW queue and thus the update couldn't be completed; there were half a dozen of packages unable to be installed because of one of marco packages (I think it was libmarco-private1); the control panel and preferences apps failed to run (~/.xsession-errors had messages about Gtk2 and Gtk3 not being allowed in the same executable, or something similar) until I retrieved marco from the git repo and compiled it to complete the MATE update. So, all three bug reports I sent yesterday were observed under a complete MATE 1.14 desktop (including marco). Regards, -- Raphaël Halimi signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Bug#825653: New frame in TraditionalOK/Green themes makes main menu hard to click on
Package: mate-themes Version: 3.20.7-1 Severity: minor Tags: upstream Hi, Since version 3.20 of mate-themes, TraditionalOK and TraditionalGreen themes display a frame around some UI elements. I'm not sure it's intentional, since older versions didn't display this frame. Aside of the aesthetic change, this frame has a huge (IMHO) drawback, as this frame is also present around the panel's main menu buttons (although not displayed). This makes the very top of the screen unclickable. This is really annoying because, when one tries to reach this menu, almost every time, the mouse cursor touches the top of the screen, and the click isn't taken into account. The mouse cursor has to be lowered a bit before clicking, which is really annoying. I'm not sure it's intentional, since other MATE themes (Menta, etc) don't have this problem; hence the bug report. Probably related : this new frame is now drawn around mate-terminal when it's maximized, but this problem is insignificant and doesn't deserve a bug report (but may be worth mentioning here). Of course, if this isn't a bug but intentional behavior (which I strongly doubt since, as I said, other themes in the package don't suffer from this problem), feel free to close the bug.
