Hi Kurt, thanks for the rebuild and for reporting this FTBFS.
> OpenSSL 1.1.0 is about to released. During a rebuild of all packages using > OpenSSL this package fail to build. A log of that build can be found at: > https://breakpoint.cc/openssl-1.1-rebuild-2016-05-29/Attempted/iva_1.0.6+ds-1_amd64-20160529-1432 I was curious indeed when I saw iva fail, given that it does not use OpenSSL at all. Investigation of the build log led me to believe that the cause of this is a problem with Python’s multiprocessing module in pbuilder runs, which I suspect is connected to /dev/shm not being writable. This is a problem that also occurs in the rebuilds done by the Reproducible Builds folks [1]. > If you have problems making things work, feel free to contact us. I am not sure if I can just close this bug as it does not relate to OpenSSL and I should probably file a bug indicating this pbuilder associated issue. Thanks and best regards, Sascha [1] https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/iva.html
