If we go to version 2.2.2, would that be acceptable?

Considering the considerable amount of features since 2.2.0, I'd go for
at least 2.3 :)

I have uploaded the "sames" tree to the ffdn repo, btw:

git clone ssh://g...@code.ffdn.org:5/l2tpns/l2tpns.git

Basically, a way could be to just make a release: put some version in
l2tpns.h's VERSION (to be simpler than 2.2.1.2fdn3.19 :) ), and fix the
Debian version accordingly.

The idea of sponsoring is for instance that there is a shared repository
to which you commit the changes, and when you're happy you ask the
sponsor to make the upload for you. That can be Jonathan or me, or any
other DD interested in helping this package.

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I have not personally been using l2tpns for a number of years. While
I've attempted to respond to the major issues raised against the package
it's clear that it could do with some love, care and attention.
Additionally there is a fork at http://git.sameswireless.fr/l2tpns.git
that seems to be more maintained and might be worth switching to.

It would be best if someone actually using this package could take over
its maintenance. If it would help I'm prepared to sponsor an initial set
of uploads for anyone who would like to do so but is not currently a DM
or DD.
