If it happens with several programs and a gtk+ downgrade fixes it then
it would be great if you could take this up with the GTK+
maintainers. Maybe they have an idea whats broken. Please keep the
bugreport (and me) in cc:

What about answering these questions? Try to find out whats different on
your system so it works for others otherwise theres no way to help
you. Please also provide the necessary logs.
