Bug#841434: whohas: cannot fetch ancient Fedora and OpenBSD releases

2016-10-20 Thread James Cowgill
Package: whohas
Version: 0.29.1-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

$ whohas --strict mpv > /dev/null
Tried fetching "http://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/5.7/packages/i386/"; five
times. Giving up.
Tried fetching
"http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/21/Everything/i386/os/Packages/m/";
 five times. Giving up.
Tried fetching
"http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/20/Everything/i386/os/Packages/m/";
 five times. Giving up.

Fedora 20 and 21 are no longer hosted on dl.fedoraproject.org.
Similarly OpenBSD 5.7 has gone away. Please can you update the versions
in whohas - or even better, let it use whatever the latest version of a
particular distribution is.

Thanks,
James

You can work around the Fedora issue in your config:

/usr/share/doc/whohas/examples/whohas.cf

You can fix this in your config but the directory listing for 6.0 no
longer matches the hardcoded regexes in whohas.

I've fixed all of the above issues in upstream git.

It doesn't currently know how to figure those out.
