Ok, I will let it propagate to testing tomorrow or on sunday before
pushing the changes in experimental to unstable.

Thanks for testing!

I don't think that would be a good idea.

Make check works fine with the new version and the rest of the system
didn't break either!

Would you consider this to be a serious issue for libvirt? i.e. should
we block unfixed gnutls from propagating to testing?

Fixed packages just uploaded to experimental. I would appreciate some
testing. - TIA

The upstream commit for this seems to be:

Bug#844539: Please revert DN related behaviour change introduced in 3.5.6

2016-11-16 Thread Guido Günther
Package: libgnutls30
Version: 3.5.6-4
Severity: normal

Hi,
3.5.6 introuced a behaviour change that breaks libvirt. See

https://lists.gnupg.org/pipermail/gnutls-devel/2016-November/008224.html

and look for "FAIL: virnettlssessiontest".

The upstream discussion is here:

https://lists.gnupg.org/pipermail/gnutls-devel/2016-November/008224.html

and it seems this will be reverted. Please revert that change in Debian
too so it unbreaks libvirt.
Cheers and thanks for maintaining gnutls in Debian,
