Package: ssss Version: 0.5-2+b1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
I've noticed that ssss-split can be awefully slow when not using something like haveged. Looking into the source I've noticed that ssss-split uses /dev/random, and therefor is blocking on reads, eats a lot of randomness, and works really slow. Using /dev/urandom makes running ssss-split almost instant (vs waiting minutes). /dev/urandom should be as safe to use as /dev/random, see: http://www.2uo.de/myths-about-urandom/
