To be more specific, cinnamon-control-center currently uses

libnm-util, libnm-glib and libnm-glib-vpn. Those three libraries have
been deprecated and replaced by libnm.

It also uses libnm-gtk, which has been deprecated and replaced by libnma.

The API documentation for libnma is now also available online at
https://developer.gnome.org/libnma/stable/

ported to those new libraries.

The API documentation for libnm can be found at [2].
The API documentation for libnma is available in the libnma-dev package
starting with version 1.4.6-1.
