I think, right now, I prefer you to:
fork the repo, send a PR fixing the stuff you care, get it integrated,
and eventually uploaded.
If the first upload goes successfully, I think nobody will complain
about adding you to the team or uploaders list.
(I'm not an uploader too, so blindly adding you might be unfair!)
don't forget to tag me or mail me when you open a pull request,
so I can address it!
