Bug#868983: trackballs: new upstream version available (new fork)
Hi Ari, Am 20.07.2017 um 16:43 schrieb Ari Pollak: > Hi Markus, > > Please feel free to adopt the package. I am in contact with the new upstream developer of trackballs. I have filed some bug reports and forwarded a patch. He will make a new release soon. Since the music files are now part of trackballs and no longer separated, I also intend to request the removal of trackballs-music. I presume that's ok with you. I hope to complete the packaging next week with the release of the new version and it so far it looks like we can close a lot of bugs with it. The fork looks promising. Maybe it really solves all open issues. To me it looks like Ari is no longer interested in this package and has basically abandoned it. I hereby declare my intent to adopt the package for the Debian Games team. Regards, Markus signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Package: trackballs Version: 1.1.4-4.3 Severity: important According to: http://trackballs.sourceforge.net/, there is a new, modernized fork of trackballs at: https://trackballs.github.io/. The new versions likely fix several of the current bugs, including the RC one that will result in this package being removed from Debian sooner or later if it is not addressed. Severity raised to "important" for that reason.
