Hello everybody.

I have this issue also. After a fresh installation of debian postfix 
runs great but after a reboot postfix would not start.


The command "postfix start" works. Postfix runs fine until the next 
reboot occurs. Of course my system will not be rebootet often but 
sometimes the server needs a "cleanup" of dirt in the fans. Then i need 
to shut it down and after it boots up i need to start postfix manually 
with "postfix start"


The normal "service postfix start" does not work and 
"/etc/init.d/postfix start" does nothing except it says to me that 
postfix will be started.

I use the following temoporary fix for a default instance only setup, which 
will persist across reboots:

ln -s /lib/systemd/system/postfix@.service 
/etc/systemd/system/postfix.service.wants/postfix@-.service
