Our repository is a clone of yours, but we made 5 non merge commits to
help the inclusion of 1.3.6 in Debian:

- 9ffe701 Exclude doc/rfc/ automatically at importation of upstream
  sources

- d437b91 Updated version 1.3.6 from 'upstream/1.3.6'

- 3a3aafa Refresh patches

- 8710074 Remove inexistent README

- 1df3397 Bump Standards-Version to 4.1.1

To be honest I do not understand your request. Your repo just contains
the status of our git repo (AFAICT). So do you want us to simply upload
that status to unstable? Do you need the version 1.3.6?

Where did you get the information if there is an upstream version fixing
this bug and which one?

Bug#879113: proftpd-dfsg: Packaging of the new upstream release 1.3.6

2017-10-19 Thread Équipe EOLE
Source: proftpd-dfsg
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

We maintain an Ubuntu derivative and we needed to package the latest
stable version of proftpd to fix a bug with ACL:

We took time to provide some packaging for Debian.

You can find our work in the dist/debian/unstable branch of our
repository[1].

We hope the level of the packaging is OK for you, do not hesitate to
give advises if needed.

Regards.
