Bug#885633: gnome-chemistry-utils: Please drop Build-Depends on rarian-compat

2017-12-28 Thread Jeremy Bicha

scrollkeeper has been deprecated and unmaintained for years. Its
replacement, rarian has been deprecated for years too. More
importantly, it doesn't seem to be needed at all. yelp can easily
display Docbook help files without any .omf files.

We do not intend to ship rarian in Debian 10 "Buster". Therefore,
please drop "rarian-compat | scrollkeeper" from gnome-system-tools'
Build-Depends. You'll also need to add --disable-scrollkeeper to the
configure flags.

I'm not actually attaching a patch, but the fix seems pretty trivial
here.

On behalf of the Debian GNOME team,
Jeremy Bicha

Hi,

I'd volunteer to fix this if you give me permission to move the package from
SVN to Git.

Kind regards

Andreas.
