I was asking if you could write a patch and send it to upstream for
inclusion upstream, not keep it in Debian.

As I worte above, I don't feel I can patch yarn myself to use execFile rather 
than exec: this is a change that upstream should implement.

Actually, they said they would be happy to merge a patch:

The suggestion has been rejected by the nodejs module that is using puka that 
I'm trying to package (yarn).

I'll now proceed with packaging puka.
I'll add a note to README.Debian in yarnpkg on this.
