It sounds like you have extra signatures left over from prior actions.
For example perhaps the entire drive was once used with ZFS.

For an example of how one person identified and removed the extra
signatures, see the following report:

I have a quick-setup with Virtualbox done, The same Problem and output 
from blkid and gparted. Double signatur on rawdevice and partition ist 
not the Problem.

Older Version from Gparted works fine, newer version not.
