I've uploaded this to experimental, but not unstable yet (sorry, I only
have a test environment for GNOME 3.29 right now). Any GNOME team members
who are still able to test 3.28 are welcome to upload the same change
to unstable.

Bug#905363: fails to start on rotated screen

2018-08-03 Thread W. Martin Borgert
Package: mutter
Version: 3.28.3-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch

On a device with rotated screen, gdm3 fails to start.
Journalctl shows many lines:

Failed to set CRTC mode 1200x1920: No space left on device

Searxing the message leads to
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/issues/216
and a patch
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/merge_requests/175.diff

I tested the patch on the Debian package and it seems to work
well on my machine. Please consider applying it. Thanks!
