2020-12-15 Thread Ruben Undheim
Hi,

Sorry that this has not caught my attention.

I have now merged in most of Nate's changes to the GIT repository in
electronics-team. Thanks a lot! I have also added him as Uploader. If
it is OK with you, I can upload the package very soon with the best
(hopefully) from both of them.

Best regards
Ruben

Bug#907240: Status of nextpnr packaging

2020-12-14 Thread Harald Welte
AFAICT Ruben had indicated in mid-2018 he wants to package, and Nathanial
worked on a duplicate in mid-2020 but never got any response.

It's great that we have yosys in Debian now - but it's not quite as useful
particularly to many ICE40 users without nextpnr...

So if there is anything that can be done to unblock this, it would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Bug#907240: Progress on a new packaging effort

2020-05-14 Thread Nathaniel Graff
Hi Reuben,

I’ve been working lately to package nextpnr for Debian, and after accidentally
filing a duplicate ITP (https://bugs.debian.org/960616) I was pointed back to
this one.

I’ve hosted my work on Salsa (https://salsa.debian.org/nategraff-guest/nextpnr)
and Keith Packard is sponsoring my upload.

I’m happy to take ownership of this bug and/or onboard my fork into the Debian
Electronics team.

Thanks,
Nate Graff

Bug#907240: Status of this ITP?

2019-05-31 Thread Jakob Haufe
Hi Ruben,

some time ago, you expressed interest to package nextpnr for Debian.
Have you found time to work on this yet? Do you need help and/or
testers?

Cheers,
sur5r

Bug#907240: ITP: nextpnr -- Portable FPGA place and route tool

2018-08-25 Thread Ruben Undheim
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Ruben Undheim

* Package name: nextpnr
  Version : GIT HEAD
  Upstream Author : YosysHQ
* URL : https://github.com/YosysHQ/nextpnr
* License : ISC
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : Portable FPGA place and route tool

This is a place and route tool with GUI for FPGAs. It is closely related to
fpga-icestorm and provides similiar functionality as arachne-pnr, but intended
to be more general. Upstream is quite active with a number of developers, and
it is possible that it may more or less "replace" arachne-pnr in the future.

I intend to maintain it in the Debian Electronics team.
