The game works for me but I use an Intel based graphic chip. Since the
--software-renderer option works for you too, it is likely that this is
an issue with your Nouveau drivers. The GetFileContent warnings are
harmless because those files don't exist at first start and are later
stored in ~/.local/share/blockattack.

The only way to debug this issue is to get a backtrace. See
https://wiki.debian.org/HowToGetABacktrace for further information.
Please also attach a kernel log to the bug report.

dmesg > kernel_log.txt

With those information we could reassign the bug report to
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau. However, since Debian already ships the
latest version of nouveau, I suggest to submit this bug report upstream
as well because it is most likely not Debian specific.

Bug#919954: blockattack: Starting blockattack causes a segfault

2019-01-20 Thread Nikolas Nyby
Package: blockattack
Version: 2.3.0-1+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

I started blockattack with no options.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Starting blockattack with the --software-renderer option solves this problem.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

I get this error when starting blockattack like this:

$ blockattack
GetFileContent - File does not exists: configFile
ALSA lib pcm.c:8424:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred
Segmentation fault

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I expected the program to start.
