2019-04-09 Thread Javier
Package: chromium
Version: 73.0.3683.75-1
Followup-For: Bug #926151

I can confirm the bug. Meanwhile you can install h264ify extension from
chromium store to make youtube videos to work, but other sites may still not
work.

Bug#926151: chromium: Youtube not working in latest testing version on recent intel hw

2019-04-01 Thread Uli Martens
Hey there,

I've got the same problem since today's upgrade from 72.0.3626.121-1 to
73.0.3683.75-1, on a NUC8I5BEH (also with intel video).

The workaround from
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1836760#p1836760 fixed it
for me. vainfo output for this system is:

| libva info: VA-API version 1.4.0

Bug#926151: chromium: Youtube not working in latest testing version on recent intel hw

2019-04-01 Thread Martin Krüger
Package: chromium
Version: 73.0.3683.75-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
Update to the latest chromium version in testing, and have a more or less
actual intel hw.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?
Tried to play a video on youtube. Like this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=202vKBwWR8s
   * What was the outcome of this action?
A working video ;-)
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
A broken one. After a while a youtube error appears that you should reboot the
system.

Archlinux already has a bug for this: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/62007
