Bug#940879: Link with libedit instead of readline5

2020-03-17 Thread Daniel Baumann
Hi,

I'm rather surprised at the readline -> libedit change. I would have
expected src:readline (readline 8.x) to be used as a src:readline5
(readline 5.x).

Regards,
Daniel

Bug#940879: Link with libedit instead of readline5

2019-09-21 Thread Bastian Germann
Package: mariadb-10.3
Severity: wishlist

The readline5 library is old and got orphaned with #737301.
MariaDB supports linking with libedit as a replacement, so please use
that library.
