Package: pithos Version: 1.1.2-1 Followup-For: Bug #839825 Dear Maintainer,
I tried using the reportbug command, but I'm not sure that I did it correctly and that that the email went through. So I will try again this way. The package for Pithos in Unstable is years behind upstream (currently 1.4.1). While I am not running Debian Unstable, a quick check of packages.debian.org confirms that Sid is using the same ancient version as Ubuntu is, so I think reporting this upstream is appropriate. There's already a bug report for it being outdated, but it's marked as "wishlist" for some reason. On the contrary, I'd say being this out of date is a fairly serious bug for the package. By the way, I'm not sure where your build system is trying to fetch the source from, but they are currently on github: https://github.com/pithos/pithos/releases If you've been getting it from somewhere else, then they've apparently moved. If you have a build script that's supposed to fetch and build the latest source, then it is sorely in need of updating.
