Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal

The Tor project does not develop nor deploy obfsproxy anymore, see
https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/PluggableTransports/list
(obfs2, obfs3)

Last upstream commit happened 5 years ago.
https://gitweb.torproject.org/pluggable-transports/obfsproxy.git

Last upload to Debian happened 2 years ago.

The maintainer group pkg-privacy-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org has
since become the Privacy packaging team
(https://salsa.debian.org/pkg-privacy-team), which I am part of. The
team agrees to request the removal of obfsproxy.

FTR Last time it was discussedĀ¹ in the team, it was clear that obfsproxy
was obsolete, but fteproxy was blocking the removal; since then,
fteproxy got removed from testing and sid, and according to dakĀ² there's
no blocker anymore for removal.

Cheers,
ulrike
